How can I help you?

In cognitive behavioural therapy, we focus on the interconnections between thoughts, behaviours, and emotions. Research indicates that these factors significantly influence one another. Together, we will identify unhelpful thoughts and behaviour, enabling us to implement strategies that disrupt negative cycles. CBT is supported by a robust evidence base and has proven effective in treating anxiety disorders, depression OCD, trauma, PTSD, phobias, and various other issues. Please feel free to enquire if you would like to know how we could work together.

About Me.

I’m Laura, and I live in East Ayrshire with my husband and two children. After spending over twenty years as a secondary school teacher, I've met  many incredible people and gathered a ton of life experience. My life journey has been a wild ride and the Laura of five years ago would struggle to recognise Laura now. In the not too distant past I found myself really suffering with anxiety, depression and struggling to function day to day. I was very fortunate to find an amazing therapist who helped me feel safe and then work through all of the "stuff" I was carrying. After seeing the difference a good therapist made to my life, I decided to undertake post graduate diploma training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Groupwork. If you need someone to empathise and understand when you're rattling with anxiety, or bring a lamp to sit with you in that dark well- I can do that. I've been there, I get it. Things can get better, and part of our journey is to instill that hope. I'm here to use what I've learned to help you on your path to feeling your best!
