GDPR,
Protecting your data
Our data protection policy
‘Data controller’ is the term used to describe the person who collects, stores and has responsibility for people’s data. In this instance, the data controller is me.
I am registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office, and my registration number is ZB988674 with Sisu Therapy. My postal address is available on request. My phone number is: 0737 652 8210.
My email address is: laurasisutherapy@gmail.com.
A full copy of the policy is available on request.
Why do I need to process your data?
If you are currently having therapy with me or are in contact with me to consider therapy, I will process the data I need to contact you. GDPR also makes sure that I look after any sensitive personal information that you may disclose to me appropriately.
How your data will be stored
I store your name, email and mobile number on my phone. After a month post our work, I will delete your mobile number and messages. If you seek therapy again, I will need to collect your data anew. I keep brief session notes securely on a password-protected laptop for 7 years, as required by law. You can view your notes anytime, and I will never disclose them. Any physical documents are stored securely and destroyed one month after our work ends. My website uses www.wix.com to collect standard visitor information anonymously to track site usage. I do not identify visitors. Cookies are used for site efficiency, but no user-specific data is collected. Form data is temporarily stored before being sent to me.
